PTEK Registration

Alhamdulilah, our daughter registration to PTEK was done without any hussle. We started off at 8am by going to her old school to submit her leaving certificate form then she had to get the principal signature on the registration form before going to PTEK for the registration.  We then drove to PTEK and arrived at the college at around 9 and finished at around 11am.

At the college she had to meet with a number of officers and teachers.  First to see was the officers who determined whether she was accepted by looking at her result and to confirm and check if all supporting documents were in place.  Then there was a career desks where these ladies offered their advice on the careers chosen by the students.  In the registration form there was actually a box where the students were to pick what they want to do as their career in the future and obviously it has to match with the subjects they wanted to take in PTEK.  Then we moved on to see each subject teachers and got them signed and approved.  No problem there so far.  One teacher even commented our daughter didnt have to see him looking at her result she could just submit the form.  I argued that she still had to obtain his signature!  I knew he must be kidding at that hahaha.

The last bit was to submit the form to the officers who informed us our daughter will start her class within 2 weeks.  There will be an offer letter sent to their old school and they had to pick that up to see when they will start school.  So then its done.  It took almost 2 hours since there were lots of people registering their children.  Alot of waiting too.  And some came and gone with broken hearts since not everyone was selected.  And some were asked to reconsider some subjects since they were not confident those kids could do the subjects they have chosen.

Ayang did very well.  No question whatsoever with her subject selections and all teachers didnt have any qualm and arguments at all.  2 teachers took less than 1 minute to sign the form on Ayang's choice of subject, whereas for others they took at least 10 minutes to ask questions and queries.  So I was very happy with Ayang progress so far, its all so worth the hard work.

So Ayang subjects in PTEK will be : Geography, Biology, Chemistry and for AS level is English Literature.

Wow... I love English Lit and I didnt argue when she wanted to do that, in fact I did English Lit when I took my A level donkey years ago.

And here are some pictures of the registration session at PTEK.
