Garage Sale

Do you ever feel that your home is getting crowded?

Thats how I feel sometimes.  There are so many things in the house its getting cramp, crowded and tight.  I do not know where to keep all the things sometimes.  I feel so overwhelmed and I just wanted to get rid some of them.

Then we came up with an idea to organise a garage sale.  And it proved a success!

We geared up for the garage sale for the past week, I rummaged through the cabinets and found a few items we didnt really need.  I had a high stack of old magazines I wanted to get rid of but didnt sell alot though.  I asked our daughter if she got anything she wanted to get rid of.  She had, very few lol.  She didnt want to sell most of her books or her toys.  She managed to let go a few of her old school bags, a few stuff toys and a few tiny purses she found under her desk.  And I was happy I managed to sell a big number of items with lowest prices!

My family also took part and sold a few items.  And my brother even tried to sell his old car hahaha.. although he didnt have much luck.

It was a tiring but fun day, we were at the venue for the whole day and most of my family members were there. We had a reasonable numbers of customers and it was so much fun.  Didnt really care how much we earned as long as I could get rid of the items hehehe..

We might want to do this again, maybe in a few months time.

Just got back

And tired!

Just back from our hols in KL and the holiday is typically the Bruneian style as well.  So tired and body is all aching from all the walking and shopping that we did.  I need a good massage!

First news of the year!

Our daughter passed her driving test.

Alhamdulilah, after a few months, when she first started, its all come to this.  Although she stopped for a month to accomodate her exam time in November.  She is now a qualified driver.  She was a bit nervous for the past few days, pacing the floor and whining on how nervous she was.  But I assured her it will be ok, she will do just fine.  Just focus and drive.

We arrived at JPD bright and early, and waited for the instructor who arrived around 7am.  She wanted our daughter to practice before the actual test so she had fresh memory on what to do etc.

I left for work and hubby took over and waited for her.  It went so well and she passed the test.  Yay...

She signed up the form, and she would get her driving licence on wednesday.

And then she would be eligible to drive.  She is just so excited and cant wait to have her own car.

Welcome 2013

And its now 2013!!!

Looking forward to this year, this must be a big year for our family.  Especially to our daughter where it all started.  Very soon.  A whole new world.  Adulthood.  Like University and driving a car.  I am sure its so exciting for her but a whole new ballgame for me.  Since its time for me to let go.  And let her spread her wings.  I dont want anything but the best for her.

So 2013, bring it on.................
