My new toy

I used to be not so savvy person in terms of electronic gadget and tried my best not to be too tempted to buy any new products in the market.  I said USED to be.  But of lately, I cant seem to control and surpress my own desire to own these products.  I failed!!!

Well.. after my galaxy tab, then my HTC Smartphone, and now I just bought a new laptop, Sony Vaio S Series. Thats alot of gadget all within one year.  And the Vaio is m first ever laptop!  First ever...  I never own a laptop before except a desktop.  But now I am the proud owner of this lovely chic.  I called her my BFF, hahaha.  Its white and slim and I am beginning to spend so much time with it lately.  How could that be possible.  At my age?

But so far I love it.

Is it she beautiful

Amazing race is back!

Its Amazing race season 20, people!

I am a big fan!  I mean huge fan...  So excited its back, its gonna be awesome.  I love this show so much.  I love to see the scenaries of the countries the contestants are visiting, I love to see all the tensions and the preserverance of every one,  how the strongest team wins and how team members handle their feelings, the mood swings, the fights and each other.  Love them all, lol.

Spa Package at the Empire

During Brunei's national day last 23rd feb, my daughter and I went for a lovely girl day out together to the Empire Hotel and Country Club Spa Package Promotion.  The promotion includes 30 minutes of either a massage, menicure/pedicure or a facial, and the full day use of the country club facilities such as the jacuzzi, sauna or the lap pool.  On top of that we were also offered a very fulfilling high tea at the Empire Lobby Lounge.

It was a lovely day for both of us.  We opted for a massage, in turn since there was only one lady available to do the massage.  My daughter went for the massage first while I was waiting for her and played with my handphone.  When it was my turn, she waited for me at the jacuzzi lol.

I love the massage!  My body felt light afterwards although my daughter didnt enjoy it as much.  It was her first time and she told me it was excruciating hehehe.  I told her she just need to get used to it and she will be counting her blessing!

Then we went on for the high tea at around 3.30pm and there were so many people at the Empire that day.  Maybe because it was a public holiday?  Hahaa... of course lah.  And the Empire was also having a promotion of  i that day.  That explained the rush of people to the hotel.  The high tea was really lovely.  There were lots to choose from and we were really full that we didnt take our dinner that night.

So its worth that it cost us B$130 per pax.  Will do it again next time

My niece 7th Birthday

This post is especially dedicated to our beloved niece - Anish.

Happy Birthday to Anish for her 7th birthday on 12th February.  She is such a cute little girl, very playful, happy, giggly and whatever a girl supposed to be like.  My daughter and her are the only girls in the family so they are kind of special and both of them are really close.

Our Anish on her 7th birthday

We celebrated her birthday at Serasa Beach.  It was a lovely day and lots of people at the beach as well.  There were both families from both sides so we were quite crowded but it was a good day.  Everyone attended and food were served.  And Anish got 3 birthday cakes.  Lucky you!  Hehehe

Anish with her cakes

Enjoyed your cakes!

So many of her cousins trying to get hold of the cake as well.

These boys were naughty as usual.

Anish mom slicing the cakes to be shared with everyone.

Isnt she pretty and loves to pose.

Now on to makan time!

Hehe so cute.

Some behind the scene pictures.......

Tents were erected.

Some of the food were cooked at the beach.

The chief cook, Anish's grandma.

Yummy... nice and hot food.
Well.. while we were at the beach, I couldnt help to notice how irresponsible some people were when they just left all the food leftovers and rubbish on the beach.  I cant comprehend how uncivilised these people are.  Made me so angry, and my daughter too.  She took these pictures and told me about this.

Rubbish were just left behind by other people

Just look at these.

Its not that there were no dustbins.  Dustbins were provided but still people just dump the rubbish at places where it shouldnt be.

Anyway, there is so much we could do.  So I urge people to start be responsible because if we dont start who will?

Hahaha.. dont want to spoil the day.  Its Anish 7th birthday.  Stay pretty girl!

Kiulap Roundabout

Its very interesting to know whats going to happen to our notorious Kiulap roundabout.  Last friday I saw many cones were put down to deter traffic from cheating and using the wrong lane while using the roundabout.  I saw it all the time.  People use the wrong lanes and cut queue to go to their destinations.  And it must stop.  I am glad the authority are doing something about it, like installing  CCTV around the area.

There has been too many accidents happened or waiting to happen. Its very dangerous for all motorists, especially those who endanger themselves and others by using the wrong lanes just to be a few seconds ahead of everyone else.

I applaud the authority, but there were people who didnt appreciate the initiatives.  Last saturday we saw one car with the passengers opened the car window and his hands were let out to knock the cones down!  What a stupid stupid act.  Didnt they think that its all about their own safety?

It beats me how could the authority had to do this to teach all these drivers on how to use the roundabouts?  Couldnt they think themselves on the right way?  Why do they need to cheat and endanger their lives and others?  No wonder there were so many accidents in Brunei.  They dont know how to use the roundabouts, they dont wear seatbelts, they cut queues, they tailgate, they speed, they run over the red lights, they put their kids on their laps and drive (yes thats true!) and so forth.  I think Bruneian drivers are the worst kind of drivers.  And I mean it.

A year older, a year wiser

Alhamdulilah, I celebrated my birthday on the 3rd February.  Thank you Allah for all the blessings, the happiness and the peace of being a mother and a wife.  More at peace with my life.  The day went uneventful, thank you also for hubby, Ayang and the rest of the family for remembering my birthday and all the best wishes.

New Venture

Well.... there are times in our lives that we need to push ourselves even further than what we thought we are capable of.  And there are times when we reach certain age, that we want to do something more. When every simple things in life are now longer exciting or challenging. Everything seems stagnant.

For that reasons, we, thats hubby and I, are planning to venture into something we never thought we would be doing, may earlier in our lives.  But now it seems its the right thing to do.  As our preparation for the future and in line with our Prophet would recommend us to do. I am simply excited.

At his moment in time, we are very busy with all the paperwork and administration of this new venture. This is simply a new challenge for both of us and its not going to be easy. But we are ready to be an entrepreneur!

Will update more about this if we have everything sorted.
