Today is 23rd Feb 2009. Its our Brunei 25th National Day, thats 25 years since we gained our independence from the British. Congratulations Brunei. 25 years is a long time, if we think that as human years, he or she is now an adult with responsibilities. Gone are the days for playfulness, immaturity and irresponsibilities. Time to think for a better future, time to secure the life and keep on building the foundation for the golden years ahead. So everyone should think of what we all can contribute to the nation not what the nation can do to us all.
It feels good to feel patriotic sometimes. Anyway, my girl participated in the parade today. She and her science class friends only did the matching and not the dancing and creating all those images. Alhamdulilah, thats ok since she was not really into heavy stuff like had to run in the field under the hot sun. After the march, they were allowed to sit in the stadium and watched.
My girl was excited to be part of this celebration. She was so looking forward to today. Afterall this is her first time participating so it felt different I am sure. More so with their uniform which was red jacket and black pants, although I am sure it was very hot to be in that outfit. Anyway, she was happy, had a good time with her friends so it was ok.
