Sotong Goreng Telur Masin, yumm..

Hubby and I tried a new recipe again a few days ago, wanted to try something new at home.  Something I havent tried cooking but tried eating and it was really yummy.

Hubby liked it alot when we ate them at Tamu selera recently and we decided to try cooking it at home.

I think the Tamu Selera one is much nicer but it will do huhu..

A word of caution though, the dish is rather oily and cholesterol laden so not to be eaten most time.  But for special treat, why not??? :)

I dont have a proper recipe, we just ate the dish, think about what the ingredients, then the next few days we bought the ingredients and just cook them hehehe

So these are the ingredients we used:

  • Fresh sotong (squids)
  • Salted eggs (the egg yolk only)
  • Butter
  • Ideal Milk
  • Kentucky Flour
  • White egg
  • Corn Flour
  • Daun kari (not sure whats that called in English)
  • Salt

Firstly, I cleaned the squids and cut it to small pieces.  Mix the squids with white egg, then mix it with the Kentucky flour and corn flour.  Deep fried the squids.  Put the squids aside.

Once the squids are cooked, heat butter and and pour the ideal milk.  Then mix the salted egg and stir.  Once heated and boiled, I put in the daun kari and mix the fried squids.  Add some salt to taste.

And they are done, yummmmmmmm...........

New Journey

Alhamdulilah, our daughter got through the exam and now in the midst of planning on what she would do next.

Of course its going to the University.  She didnt make the cut to get a scholarship and study overseas but she will be enrolled into our local UBD which is still very good chance and opportunity for a great future, Insya Allah.

She has done well and I am very proud of her achievement.  She has grown up to be a resourceful person, she will find her ways into the adult life.

Business Lady

Its time I announced in my blog that I am now a business woman.  We have been doing this for a while, busy with establishing the ground work and building the premises.  I have another blog documenting all those.

And now I am happy to announce our Boutique is now open!  Physically open, that is, because all this while I also did some online businesses selling lady's apparels via facebook.

I must admit its rather tiring since I am also still working but I didnt realise I have the passion for it.  Really like doing business, it must be in my blood lol.

I foresee that this is going to be in my future for a while :)

Daughter's new car

Since our daughter passed her driving test recently we have been looking for a nice small car for her to use.  And we found this cute little car just nice for her.

I like it and she loves it and thats settled it then.  We bought it for her yesterday and it now sits nicely in our garage.

She is still a bit nervous when driving and we need to assure her that she will be ok.  She is so cute because sometimes she looks so tense and blur.  But I know she will master the art of driving in no time.

Another year...

I am turning 45. I didnt need to hide that, afterall age is just a number :) But I do feel old, and I can feel the process of aging like all this muscle pain i am experiencing. Nevertheless there is nothing to worry about. Everyone gets old, its just a matter of time.

I just hope I will age gracefully. Its time to lessen all the worldly excitement and entertainment and concentrate more on the life thereafter, Insya Allah.
